What Is TiviMate & How to Set It Up

A plain-English explanation of TiviMate, what it costs, which devices it works on, and how to add your subscription in five steps.

Last updated October 4, 2026

TiviMate is a popular app for watching live TV on Android TV and Firestick. It looks and feels like a cable TV box, with a channel list, a TV guide and remote-friendly menus.

Quick answer: TiviMate is a player, not a TV service. It comes with no channels. You install it, then add the login from your IPTV subscription, and it shows your channels with a full TV guide.

What Is TiviMate?

TiviMate is made by AR Mobile Dev. It is like an empty TV box: it organises and plays channels, but it only shows what your own subscription provides.

  • TV guide (EPG): see what is on now and next, laid out like a cable TV guide.
  • Favourites and groups: put your most-watched channels in one list.
  • Catch-up: watch past programmes, if your subscription includes it.
  • Premium: a paid upgrade that unlocks extra features such as recording and multiple playlists. It is paid to TiviMate's developer and does not include channels. Check the current price in the app.

Which Devices Does TiviMate Work On?

TiviMate is made for TV screens running Android:

  • Android TV and Google TV (Sony, Philips, TCL, Hisense, Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield): install it from the Google Play Store.
  • Firestick and Fire TV (Fire OS): TiviMate is not in the Amazon Appstore, so it is installed with the Downloader app. Find the checked code in our Downloader codes list, and see our TiviMate guide for the full steps.
  • Not supported: iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung and LG TVs, and the newer Vega OS Fire TV Sticks.

How to Set Up TiviMate in 5 Steps

Have your TVPrime4K Access Details ready. You will find them in your account under your subscription.

1. Open TiviMate and select Add playlist

The first time you open TiviMate, it asks you to add a playlist. A playlist is your channel list from your subscription.

2. Choose your login type

Choose Xtream Codes login if your account shows a server address, username and password. Choose M3U playlist if your account shows one long link. Xtream Codes is usually easier, and it loads the TV guide automatically.

3. Enter your details

Type the server address, username and password exactly as shown, or paste the M3U link. Details are case-sensitive, so watch for capital letters and extra spaces. Select Next.

4. Name the playlist and finish

TiviMate checks your details and counts your channels. Give the playlist a name, such as "TVPrime4K", and select Done.

5. Wait for the TV guide to load

The channel list appears straight away. The TV guide can take a few minutes the first time. If it stays empty, see our TiviMate EPG fix guide.

Tips for Using TiviMate

  • Long-press OK on a channel to open its menu, then choose to add it to favourites.
  • After you renew or your details change, update them under Settings → Playlists.
