How to Install 8K Player VIP on Firestick (Code 439873)

8K Player VIP is an IPTV player app for Fire TV and Android TV. You sign in with a username and password, and live TV, films and series load into one menu. This guide takes you from a blank Firestick to watching in about ten minutes.

8K Player VIP contains no channels, films or series. It shows nothing until you log in with an active IPTV subscription or trial. “8K” is part of the name: the picture you get depends on each channel, your TV and your connection.

Which devices work?

  • Fire TV Stick (3rd gen), Lite, 4K and 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube, all running Fire OS.
  • Android TV and Google TV boxes and televisions.

Fire TV models running Vega OS, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, can’t install apps from outside the Appstore, so 8K Player VIP won’t install on them. Check under Settings → My Fire TV → About.

Step 1: Install Downloader

  1. Open Find (the magnifying glass) on the home screen.
  2. Search for Downloader and pick the orange app by AFTVnews.
  3. Select Get, then Open. Allow file access if asked.

Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps

  1. Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps.
  2. Switch Downloader on.

Step 3: Download 8K Player VIP with code 439873

  1. Open Downloader and select the address box on the Home tab.
  2. Type 439873 and select Go.
  3. A short page opens first. Wait a few seconds; if the download doesn’t start, select the download link.
  4. When it finishes, select Install, then Done.
  5. Select Delete when Downloader offers to remove the file. The app stays installed.
Where the file comes from
Code 439873 opens the 8kplayer_vip.apk file on shtv-reb.cyou, the app server used by the IPTV platform TVPrime4K runs on. It is not in the Amazon Appstore. Only use this code, not copies of “8K Player” from other websites.

Step 4: Log in

  1. Open 8K Player VIP from Your Apps & Channels.
  2. Select the playlist profile on the first screen, then choose Edit.
  3. Enter your username and password exactly as you received them: they are case-sensitive.
  4. Select Update Playlist and wait. The first load can take a few minutes.

Fixes for common problems

  • Code 439873 doesn’t open: check the digits and that the internet works in another app, then reopen Downloader.
  • Install is blocked: switch Downloader on under Install unknown apps.
  • Login rejected: retype both details without spaces and make sure your trial or subscription is active.
  • Channels freeze: try 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter, and restart the Firestick and router.
  • Not enough space: uninstall apps you don’t use and delete old files in Downloader.
