How to Install TiviMate 8K on Firestick (Code 5811661)
Downloader code 5811661, the permission you need, the Xtream Codes login and TV guide settings: everything to get TiviMate 8K running on a Fire TV.
TiviMate 8K is a licensed edition of TiviMate, the popular IPTV player, supplied for the IPTV platform TVPrime4K runs on. It has the same remote-friendly layout and grid TV guide as TiviMate, and installs on a Firestick with one Downloader code. This guide takes you from install to watching in about ten minutes.

TVPrime4K works with TiviMate 8K. Try it free for 24 hours with no payment details, then choose a plan from £9.99.
Which devices work?
- Fire TV Stick (3rd gen), Lite, 4K and 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube, all running Fire OS.
- Android TV and Google TV boxes and televisions.
Fire TV models running Vega OS, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, can’t install apps from outside the Appstore, so TiviMate 8K won’t install on them. Check under Settings → My Fire TV → About.
Step 1: Install Downloader
- Open Find (the magnifying glass) on the home screen.
- Search for Downloader and pick the orange app by AFTVnews.
- Select Get, then Open. Allow file access if asked.
Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps
- Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps.
- Switch Downloader on.
No Developer Options? Press Select seven times on your device name under Settings → My Fire TV → About. Full help: Developer Options not showing.
Step 3: Download TiviMate 8K with code 5811661
- Open Downloader and select the address box on the Home tab.
- Type 5811661 and select Go.
- A short page opens first. Wait a few seconds; if the download doesn’t start, select the download link.
- When it finishes, select Install, then Done.
- Select Delete when Downloader offers to remove the file. The app stays installed.

Step 4: Add your playlist
- Open TiviMate 8K from Your Apps & Channels and select Add playlist.
- Choose Xtream Codes.
- Enter the server address, your username and your password exactly as you received them: they are case-sensitive.
- Select Next. TiviMate 8K checks the details and shows how many channels it found.
- Select Next again, then Done.
Step 5: Load the TV guide
The TV guide usually loads on its own after the playlist. If programme times are empty, open Settings → EPG and select Update EPG, then give it a minute.
Settings worth changing
- Favourites: long-press a channel and add it to Favourites for one-click access.
- Channel groups: hide groups you never watch under Settings → Playlists → Manage groups.
- Buffer: if channels pause on weak Wi-Fi, raise the buffer size under Settings → Playback.
- Connection: use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter for the steadiest picture.
Fixes for common problems
- Code 5811661 doesn’t open: check the digits and that the internet works in another app, then reopen Downloader.
- Install is blocked: switch Downloader on under Install unknown apps.
- Login rejected: retype the details without spaces, include http:// and the port in the server address, and make sure your trial or subscription is active.
- No TV guide: run Update EPG and wait a few minutes.
- Not enough space: uninstall apps you don’t use and delete old files in Downloader.

Common questions
Is TiviMate 8K free?
The app is free to install. You need an IPTV subscription or trial to watch anything.
Can I use M3U instead of Xtream Codes?
Yes. Choose M3U playlist instead and paste your M3U link. Xtream Codes is easier to type with a remote and loads films and series separately.
Can I use it on two devices?
Yes, you can install it on several devices. Watching on two at the same time needs two connections.
