How to Set Up TiviMate on Firestick (2026 Step-by-Step)
Install TiviMate on your Firestick, add your IPTV login and get the TV guide working, in plain steps with the settings that matter.
TiviMate is one of the most popular IPTV players on Firestick because it looks like a normal TV guide: channels down the side, programmes across the screen. Setting it up takes about ten minutes.
This guide covers installing it, adding your login, getting the TV guide (EPG) to show, and the few settings worth changing.
Step 1: Let your Firestick install apps
TiviMate isn't in the Amazon Appstore, so you install it with Downloader. If you haven't done this before, follow our guide to allowing app installs on Firestick. It's one setting and takes five minutes.
Step 2: Install TiviMate with Downloader
- Open Downloader on your Firestick.
- In the URL box, type the code 272483 and select Go.
- Wait for the download, then select Install.
- Select Done (not Open), then delete the downloaded file when Downloader asks. TiviMate stays installed.
Code 272483 downloads the app from TiviMate's own website. We checked it ourselves. See all checked codes in our Downloader codes list.
Step 3: Add your IPTV playlist
Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist. You'll see two main options:
Which login type to choose
What you enter
- Xtream Codes login
- Server URL, username, password
- M3U playlist link
- One long web address
TV guide (EPG)
- Xtream Codes login
- Usually added automatically
- M3U playlist link
- Often needs a separate EPG link
Catch-up and VOD
- Xtream Codes login
- Usually included
- M3U playlist link
- Depends on the provider
Best for
- Xtream Codes login
- Most people
- M3U playlist link
- When your provider only gives an M3U link
| Xtream Codes login | M3U playlist link | |
|---|---|---|
| What you enter | Server URL, username, password | One long web address |
| TV guide (EPG) | Usually added automatically | Often needs a separate EPG link |
| Catch-up and VOD | Usually included | Depends on the provider |
| Best for | Most people | When your provider only gives an M3U link |
- Choose Xtream Codes login.
- Type the server URL exactly as given, including http:// or https:// and any port number.
- Enter your username and password. They are case-sensitive.
- Select Next. TiviMate checks the details and counts the channels.
- Give the playlist a name (for example "TVPrime4K"), then select Done.
Step 4: Get the TV guide working
With an Xtream Codes login, the guide normally fills in by itself within a minute or two. If you see "No information" next to channels, go to Settings → EPG, check a source is listed, and select Update EPG. Still blank? Our TiviMate EPG fixes walk through every cause.
Settings worth changing
- Settings → Playlists → your playlist → turn on "Update on start", so new channels appear without you doing anything.
- Settings → EPG → set the update interval to once a day.
- Settings → Playback → Buffer size → choose Normal or Large if streams pause during busy matches.
- Settings → Appearance → pick which channel groups to show, to hide groups you never watch.
Free or Premium?
The free version is enough to watch live TV with a guide. Some extras, such as recording, catch-up, multiple playlists and favourites management, need TiviMate Premium, a paid upgrade bought through the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone. Try the free version first: you can upgrade later without setting anything up again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is TiviMate free?
Yes, the basic app is free. TiviMate Premium is an optional paid upgrade for extras like recording and multiple playlists.
Does TiviMate include channels?
No. TiviMate is only a player. It shows nothing until you add a subscription you are allowed to use.
Why does TiviMate say "Playlist is empty"?
Usually the server URL, username or password has a typo, or the subscription has expired. Re-enter the details carefully, or ask your provider to confirm they are active.
Can I use TiviMate on more than one Firestick?
Yes, you can install it on as many devices as you like. How many can stream at the same time depends on your plan's connections.
