IPTV Smarters EPG Not Updating? Fix No Information & Wrong Guide Times

IPTV Smarters guide missing or showing the wrong time? Diagnose EPG refresh, device time, cache, channel matching and provider-side issues safely.

If IPTV Smarters shows “No Information”, an empty TV guide or old programme listings while channels still play, the problem is usually in the guide-data path rather than the video stream itself.

The fastest approach is to diagnose the scope before reinstalling anything. Check whether the guide is missing for every channel or only a few, refresh the playlist and EPG, verify the device clock, then compare another supported device if necessary.

This guide explains the safest troubleshooting order for Fire TV, Android TV and Smart TV users without assuming that every missing EPG is caused by the player.

Quick diagnosis
If channels play but the guide is empty, refresh the playlist/EPG first. If only a few channels have no listings, note those channels rather than resetting the whole app. If the guide fails on several devices, contact the provider because the upstream EPG source may be incomplete or unavailable.

Why IPTV Smarters can play channels but show no EPG

Live video and programme-guide information are separate pieces of the setup. The playlist tells the player what streams are available; EPG data supplies programme names and times. A channel can therefore play normally even when its guide data is missing, stale or no longer matched correctly.

Before changing settings, check several channels from different categories. If every channel says “No Information”, focus on the EPG refresh, playlist and source. If only selected channels are affected, incomplete guide coverage or channel matching is more likely.

What your IPTV Smarters EPG symptom suggests

Symptom Start here
No Information on every channel Refresh playlist and EPG/source
Only some channels are blank Check channel mapping/provider guide coverage
Guide shows old programmes Force a fresh EPG update and restart app
Guide times are shifted Check device timezone and clock first
Same issue on multiple devices Investigate upstream EPG/provider source

1. Refresh the playlist and programme guide

Start inside IPTV Smarters with the available refresh or update option for your playlist and EPG. Menu labels differ between Smarters variants and TV platforms, so avoid relying on instructions for a different build.

After refreshing, close the player fully and reopen it. Give a large guide a moment to populate before deciding that the update failed. If your playlist was recently changed, refreshing both the channel list and guide is more useful than repeatedly refreshing the EPG alone.

2. Check the TV or Firestick date, time and timezone

If programme information appears but is consistently an hour or more out, check the device clock before changing EPG offsets. Set the correct region/timezone and use automatic network time where your device supports it.

This is especially important around UK daylight-saving changes. A wrong system clock can make otherwise valid programme data appear shifted even though the EPG source itself is current.

3. Clear cache before clearing app data

On Fire TV and Android TV, a stale application cache can contribute to odd app behaviour. If the guide refuses to refresh after a normal restart, force-stop IPTV Smarters and clear its cache from the device application settings.

Do not choose Clear Data unless you intend to reset the app. Clearing application data can remove locally stored configuration and require you to enter your service details again. Amazon distinguishes app cache from app data in Fire TV application management, so use the less destructive option first.

4. Test whether the problem affects one channel or the whole guide

Do not reset the player because three channels are missing listings. Check a selection of entertainment, news and sports channels. If most of the guide works, write down the affected channel names and report those specifically.

Guide data depends on channel identifiers and the information available from the configured source. A renamed or newly added channel can temporarily lack a match even when the rest of the EPG is healthy.

5. Compare the same account on another supported device

A second-device test separates a local player problem from an upstream guide problem. If EPG works on another supported device using the same authorised configuration, return your attention to the first device, app cache and local settings.

If the guide is empty in more than one player or device while live channels still work, the EPG source deserves investigation. Respect the simultaneous-connection allowance of your plan while testing.

TVPrime4K customers who still see missing guide data after these checks can use the Support Centre and include the device, app name, affected channels and whether another device shows the same problem.

When should you reinstall IPTV Smarters?

Reinstallation should be near the end of the checklist, not the beginning. If channels play, the app opens normally and only programme information is missing, first refresh the guide, verify device time, clear cache and compare another device.

Reinstall only when the app itself appears corrupted or continues behaving abnormally after the low-risk checks. Before resetting anything, make sure you can recover the login or playlist information supplied for your account.

If you are setting up a television from scratch rather than troubleshooting an existing installation, follow the Smart TV setup guide or the Fire TV setup guide instead.

IPTV Smarters EPG FAQ

Why does IPTV Smarters say No Information?

If channels still play, the guide data may not have refreshed, may be incomplete for those channels, or may not be matching the playlist correctly. Refresh the playlist and EPG, then check whether the issue affects every channel or only selected ones.

Why is IPTV Smarters EPG showing the wrong time?

Check the device date, timezone and automatic network time first. If every programme is shifted by the same amount, a device-time or offset issue is more likely than missing guide data.

Should I clear IPTV Smarters data to fix the EPG?

Not as a first step. Clear the application cache and restart first. Clearing app data is more disruptive and can remove locally stored configuration.

Why do only some channels have no programme guide?

Selected channels can lack guide coverage or fail to match the identifiers in the current EPG source. Note the affected channels and report them rather than resetting the entire app.

How do I know whether the EPG problem is provider-side?

If the same guide is missing across multiple supported devices or players while the channels themselves still play, an upstream EPG/source issue becomes more likely.
