How to Install IBO Player Pro on Firestick & Fire TV

TVPrime4K's most commonly assigned Fire TV player is IBO Player Pro. You can install it on a compatible Fire TV or Firestick device using Downloader and the official IBO Player Pro app, then add your TVPrime4K playlist inside it. This guide covers both installs, in order, plus configuration and troubleshooting. It assumes you already have an active subscription or trial — if you don't yet have one, you can start a free trial or compare current plans first.

If your account's App Details show a different assigned player, use that app's own setup instead and contact support if you're not sure which one applies.

What you'll need:

• A Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, or a television with Fire TV built in that can install apps outside the Amazon Appstore (see the device note below)
• A stable internet connection
• An active TVPrime4K subscription or trial, with your Access Details ready in your account
• A few minutes for two short installs: Downloader, then IBO Player Pro

Before You Start

Check that your subscription or trial is active — a pending order won't have Access Details yet, and the player will have nothing to connect to. You can check this from your account's Subscriptions or Trials section at any time.

Device compatibility note: newer Fire TV Stick HD and Fire TV Stick 4K Select models run Amazon's Vega OS rather than Fire OS, and currently cannot install APK files outside the Amazon Appstore — the Downloader method in this guide does not apply to those two models. Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube and older Fire TV Stick models run Fire OS and are covered by the steps below.

Keep your TVPrime4K account password separate in your mind from your subscription Access Details — your account password only ever signs you into the TVPrime4K website or account area. It's never entered into IBO Player Pro or any other player, and support will never ask for it.

Finally, connect your Fire TV device to Wi-Fi and let it install any pending system updates before you begin — an outdated Fire OS build occasionally causes app installation issues that a quick update resolves on its own.

How to Install Downloader on Firestick

Downloader (published by AFTVnews) is a separate utility used only to retrieve the IBO Player Pro app file — it isn't part of TVPrime4K or IBO Player Pro itself, and there's nothing to configure inside it afterwards.

Step 1 — Open Search on Fire TV

From the Fire TV home screen, open Find (or the magnifying glass / search icon).

Step 2 — Search for Downloader

Search for Downloader and confirm the listing is published by AFTVnews before installing — don't install a similarly named app.

Step 3 — Install Downloader

Select Get or Download and wait for the install to finish.

Step 4 — Open Downloader

Launch Downloader from your Fire TV app list once it's installed.

Step 5 — Allow the installation permission Downloader asks for

The first time Downloader tries to install an app, Fire TV will prompt you to allow it. If you don't see that prompt, or Downloader can't install anything, see Allow Fire TV Installation Permissions below before continuing.

Install the genuine Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore. Avoid similarly named apps or APK downloads from unknown sources.

Allow Fire TV Installation Permissions

Fire OS keeps the setting that allows installs from outside the Amazon Appstore hidden by default, and the exact menu wording can vary by device and software version. On current Fire OS versions:

1. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, highlight your device name, and press the select button on your remote seven times to reveal Developer Options.
2. Go back to My Fire TV and open the newly visible Developer Options.
3. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. On newer Fire OS versions this permission is granted per app rather than as a single global switch — if so, select Downloader specifically and turn it on.

If your device doesn't show these exact menu names, look for wording such as Install Unknown Apps instead — Amazon changes this wording between Fire OS versions. If Developer Options still isn't visible after step 1, restart the device and try again.

Install IBO Player Pro on Firestick

With Downloader installed and permission granted, you're ready to install IBO Player Pro itself.

Step 6 — Enter the official IBO Player Pro code

Open Downloader, select the URL field, and enter the current official Downloader code for IBO Player Pro: 481220. This code is set by IBO Player Pro's own developer at https://iboplayer.pro/ and can change — use whichever code is currently published there if it differs from the one shown here. If you'd rather enter a full address than a code, the direct download link Downloader's code points to is https://iboproapp.com/ibopro.apk.

Step 7 — Download the APK

Select Go. Downloader will fetch the IBO Player Pro app file from the developer's own server at the address above.

Step 8 — Install IBO Player Pro

When the download finishes, select Install, wait for it to complete, then choose Done (not Delete — deleting only removes the downloaded file, not the installed app).

Step 9 — Open IBO Player Pro

Launch IBO Player Pro from your Fire TV app list, or straight from Downloader if it offers to open it.

Configure IBO Player Pro With Your TVPrime4K Details

IBO Player Pro is the player app — it doesn't include or provide any channels or content itself. Your TVPrime4K playlist is added separately, inside the app, using the Access Details from your account.

IBO Player Pro may ask you to activate it via an in-app purchase before you can add a playlist. That payment goes to IBO Player Pro's own developer, not to TVPrime4K — check the app or https://iboplayer.pro/ for current pricing, since TVPrime4K doesn't set or receive it.

Once activated, return to your TVPrime4K account and open Access Details for your subscription. Depending on how your subscription is configured, you'll see one of:

• Server address, username and password — enter these into the matching fields in IBO Player Pro.
• Playlist (M3U) URL — a single web address IBO Player Pro loads directly, if your subscription uses that method instead.
• Device Key or MAC-based activation — some configurations activate by device instead of a login. If App Details in your account shows a Device Key or MAC address for your setup, follow the field-by-field instructions shown there rather than the general steps above.

Only one of these will apply to your subscription. Copy each value carefully rather than retyping it — these fields are case-sensitive, and a single mistyped character will stop the player connecting. Save the profile once every relevant field is filled in, then allow a few seconds to a couple of minutes for the channel list to load the first time.

Troubleshooting

IBO Player Pro does not install. Confirm you completed Allow Fire TV Installation Permissions above, that Downloader shows the download as complete before you select Install, and that your Fire TV has free storage under Settings → My Fire TV → Storage.

The app opens but the playlist does not load. Double-check the Access Details fields for extra spaces or a copy-paste error, confirm you're using the current details from your account (they can change after a renewal), and confirm your internet connection is working normally on other apps.

I can't find Developer Options. Confirm you're pressing select on the device name under Settings → My Fire TV → About, not elsewhere in the menu, and that you press it the full seven times without a long pause between presses. Restart the device if it still doesn't appear.

IBO Player Pro asks for a Device Key or MAC address I don't have. Check App Details in your TVPrime4K account for setup fields specific to your configuration — contact support if nothing there matches what the app is asking for.
